The Namesake is split into two main groups, The Fallen Leaves (Wolves) and The Outlands (Monsters). The Fallen Leaves consists of two "mini-groups", The Fallen and The Leaves. The Outlands just consist of Outlanders.

Now, to understand which group you belong to in the Fallen Leaves, you have to keep in mind that the Alpha(s) of The Fallen Leaves are the leader(s) of them all. The Leader of The Fallen and the Leader of The Leaves have no authority higher then the Beta(s), and even then, the Beta(s) hold higher rank in the actual pack.
Now, to have something to compare it to, we'll use the United States' Government system. (I'm sorry if you don't live in the US.) There is the President (The Alpha) and then two political groups; Republicans and Democrats. The Fallen and The Leaves are neither specified. Republicans and Democrats have nothing to do with The Namesake.
The Fallen and The Leaves have their views based on their current leaders. These leaders hold "political" power in the pack, and influence such things as hunting parties and sometimes even rank. They help discuss battle plans in times of war, and other such things.
Outlanders are monsters; creatures that are not generally wolves. There are some rouge wolves, but I do not want the Outlanders to be made up of more wolves then monsters. If people start making Outland wolves and not monsters, I will have to put a count on the number of rouge wolves allowed to be Outlanders.
